Not sure who to chase for credit card charges

I want to reclaim the charges from my Abbey credit card. My problem is that the card whilst issued by Abbey was backed by MBNA. Now that Abbey is part of Santander, Abbey have stopped supporting the card and introduced their own.
Can anyone suggest which bank I should approach to reclaim my charges, Abbey or MBNA?
