Flybe have cancelled my return flight!

 My return flight from Limoges to Newcastle has been cancelled in the first week in October. Flybe have offered a return flight the day before or the day after....or a full refund. This means either shortening my holiday by one day or extending my holiday by one day, but finding hotel accomodation and being without car rental. When asked if they were to recompense me in any way I was quoted a European directive and told to go to my holiday insurance. Surely Flybe should assist as they are the 'offending' party. Anyone have any idea?

Im sorry to tell you but when you "DIY" a holiday the airline will not compensate your hotel or car hire. It will be covered in there Terms and Conditions.0

That's what I thought - oh well!
