URGENTLY need help/advice re this weekend!

Hello everyone, It'smy boyfriend's 30th birthday this weekend and our intended plans have fallen through so now the race is on to book something special.
A night away for the two of us would be nice but i'd like to team it with some sort of activity or something interesting for the following day. We live in Wigan and can travel but not TOO far as our only available stopover night is Friday and we'll only be leaving around 7pm.
Has anyone any ideas? My partner loves extreme sports so some sort of experience might be nice, i have up to £200 to spend....
Thanks in advance

There's two good deals here for hotels in Leeds and london. London one is the Mayfair which is very nice.0 -
Hi Dee
Has your partner tried gliding? I went gliding here last year:
http://www.bfgc.co.uk/
The gliding club is in the Forest of Bowland between Garstang and Clitheroe. They fly every weekend during the year, weather permitting. May be worth giving them a call?
I haven't actually stopped in the area, so I'm not sure about hotels.

The site has details of other activity breaks tooI'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0 -
What about a Go Ape experience https://www.goape.co.uk. They have centres at the following places:
Swinley Forest, Bracknell
Grizedale Forest
Sherwood Forest
Moors Valley
Thetford Forest
Delamere Forest
Forest of Dean
As my geography is apalling I have no idea how feasible it is to get to any of these from you but have heard they are great fun. Have a lovely weekend
PS sorry just re-read the posts and seen it has already been mentioned!0 -
