    That's awful!! On the one occasion we have had trouble getting our deposit back we just happened to mention that my housemates dad is a solicitor specialising in property who had paid the deposit for my housemate. They coughed up pretty quickly after that. It was a shame, we were looking forward to picketing outside their office...
    Moral of the story, there's always a way, and if you can find a way that will cost them, they'll give up very quickly!
