I have just re-vamped my old man's webpage and it work fine in ie but in Firefox the hyperlinks don't always seem to work and the page alignment is sometimes incorrect.
Can anyone advise why this might be?
web page is www.simplyscenery.com
Thanks.

Looks like you just need to make a few style adjustments.
With regards to the hyperlinks, it looks like your main div is overlapping the hyperlinks slightly. If you put the mouse over "Images 1" for example, start at the "I" and move right. The link always stop working at a certain point for all of the links.
<div id="content" style="LEFT: 50px; .... basically because it's indented 50px from the left, so overlapping part of your hyperlinks. You may want to try floating it (ie float: right;) and float the hyperlinks div to the left, this way they'll be treated relative to one another.
The hyperlinks jump out of the "box" too, as you've set
<div id="side" style="WIDTH: 92px; HEIGHT: 527px" ... the height to 527 pixels.
I can see what you want to do, ie have the box set that height, even if it were empty, but stretch should more things be put in it. Css can be tricky, you're best bet is to read about, just google things like "css 2 column layout" etc..."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
Without looking carefully, I can only suggest validating your HTML at http://validator.w3.org/ and your CSS at http://jigsaw.w3.org/css-validator/. They won't find any design issues but at least you'll know your code is valid.0

I use dreamweaver to design websites and there is a section under publish site that I have to use to enable the site to work under different browsers and operating systems.
I have looked at your website with explorer and the links work. As for the alignment Im not sure if you have designed it that way or if the images have been moved.
If you use tables this should fix the problem.
Im a designer so I do websites by designing page layout and not by writing code...i get confused if i have to use too much script :rotfl:Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0 -
I managed to fix the links thanks.
The alignment is not by design - i just haven't had a chance to sort it out yet.
Cheers anyway.Fortune's always hiding, I've looked everywhere......0
