Radio through sky, tv burn?

I've started listening to radio through sky and the TV.
I can't get rid of the 2 blue boxes on the tv, very annoying.
Will it cause problems with the screen with burn in time? Also its not very nice to look all the time.
Any ideas? Its a phillips widescreen tv, 6006.

Select another AV input but just connect the audio from the Sky box. See the user guide for details. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Althought radio through TV is a nice to have, i think its not very money saving. It cost a fortune in electiricty compared to a radio. If the channel is digital only your better off buying a dab radio then you can listen in anyroom. they are 50 or even sub 50 in some cases, but the main thing is your saving the environment by not buring up electricty in a huge TV for such a small task taht a low powered radio can do.
There maybe a way to plug the audio output from the box via a scart adapter into a normal speaker which will mean at least your tv is not on and its just your sky box which i suppose is a little better, the cables and scart adapter will be about £10-15.
basically you put a scart adapter into your Sky box where the signal is comming out of which would normally go into your TV. Then you plug the cables into the adapter, white, yellow and red. I think the yellow as far as i can remember is audio, so you take that and plug it into your speakers. The other two cables you just leave. Ive not tried it but it should work.
You will get burn on a TV if those boxes always remain there. so do as suggetted to get rid of the boxes.0 -
You could always buy a Sky Gnome, and turn the TV off.
