if you were sent the code then your should be ok but if you have been given it by someone then you may find they charge the full amount to the card. there are numerous threads about this on here.

    warning
i`ve just used this code to buy something for £15 and it has charged this to my debit card.

I phoned littlewoods and they said the £15 would be credited back on the payment card once the product has been despatched.
I`ll have to wait and see.
    Thanks for everyones usefull post`s:T

Littlewoods can and do reject voucher purchases where they suspect there has been abuse.

If anyone is going to try this, then making sure they are on the relevent email drop is good advice, they do keep records of who has these vouchers and who doesn't.

As has been pointed out Littlewoods take the money from your card and then give it back, so if the voucher doesn't work then it is £15 that some people probably can't afford.

Also this should be on the discount codes board I think- I know some companies get sniffy about it
This is my opinion. There are many others like it but this is mine

That's the way it usually works with Littlewoods discount codes by the way, in case you didn't already know.

It was just a warning to others as some people dont always have the money to lose with these codes and it can cost them money in bank charges. Also as someone has already said littlewoods keep a list of who the email is sent out to so they can charge people who use it and never got the email!
Another point with these codes they do run an authourisation for the full amount on your card but only deduct the amount stated so once again this can cause charges as people might only have enough in for the bill.
for example i bought a dolls pram with a £15 off your first purchase code, it was £16.74 before i used the code, £16.74 was pending on my debit card and they did debit £16.74 but at same time they refunded £15 so that the total cost was only £1.74.
I am all for moneysaving but not when it can potentially cost the person a lot of money in other ways!

  • that 's right , littlewood do maintain a list to whom the email gets sent out to. I have recently tried a code , which did not apply to my account. When i wrote to them , they mentioned that I was not on their list.

hunnycat is right there were big problems before with codes from littlewoods and there was a big disscusson on here about it .
i wouldn't use it as it seems that you always end up paying in the end even upto 3 months later ppl were being charged.

good luck to anyone who gets away with it :D
