Hi guys,
I am getting married next year and want to get married abroad, the problem is that I need to have two events, one away with friends, possibly in Majorca or Ibiza, then one when I get home, for my elderly relatives. I only have around £6000 to spend, anyone got any tips? I need dress, bridesmaid dresses cake, venue, etc etc....oh and has anyone got married in Deia before without it being MASSIVLY expensive??? Help! xxx

There is another thread, something like special occassions which will have much more info about weddings.
I think it would be perfectly possible to have the wedding abroad followed by a party perhaps in a village hall or similar when you get back, possibly serving afternoon tea for the elderly relatives followed by a bar and maybe a hog roast for the not so elderly ones.
At least the dresses should get two days wear!
Do you really feel you would want your friends to witness your marriage and the elderly relatives to only be at the party, though. I'm just thinking the elderly relatives might feel the wedding ceremony was more important and the friends might prefer a wild hen weekend.0 -

This is exactly what I was going to say.0 -
no1experience.com have pretty reasonable prices for hen parties. My mate used them and she said they were brilliant and as they are a small company, really great prices and service. All the details are on their website and they are adding new locations all the time. My mate wanted a hen party in a location that they didnt do but they sourced accommodation, activities etc for them at great prices. Really worth a look if you need to save cash in places.. Good luck0
