I have some photos (.jpg) whose resolution I want to reduce in order to use them on a website.
Is there any free software to do this? What is the easiest/quickest way?
Thanks!

Paint.net
The GIMP
Photoshop online
Google Picasa
all free as are many others... in most use the Image Size, set the pixel size required, as res ideally to 72 or 96dpi.0 -
What operating system do you have?
If it's XP then you can use Microsoft Image Resizer Power Tool - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx0 -
Thanks for that.... I have Vista Home Premium as the OS.
I like the look of the Photoshop Online and have Paint.net already ....
Much appreciated0 -
I use
Visualizer Photo Resize
http://www.freeimagebrowser.com/resize/
Simple to use and will alter whole folders of images at once, you can choose the resolution and quality you want. Can't ask for more really. Alot easier than other programs where you have to do them all individually that takes ages!
