Cheap New Years Eve UK Breaks

Hiya, I was wondering if you could help me. I'm looking for a super cheap self-catering break for 2 or 3 nights over New Years Eve, somewhere in the South of the UK (Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Surrey, Sussex, Wales, Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Bath.. etc)

I'm really not fussy: my main specification is that it's as cheap as possible! I would just book a cheap Travelodge room, but we have awkward dietary requirements so need self-catering really. I've been looking at self-catering cottages/apartments, lodges, static caravans, yurts.. I'll really consider anything, but I'm just not sure where to look.

Any ideas? If anyone has any links or suggestions I'd really, really appreciate it! Usually I'd just go camping, but I don't think that's such a good idea in December..

Anyone know of any secret gems? Mega cheap breaks you've been on? Please share!

Thankyou! xx

I think I asked last year - and came to the conclusion there's no such thing for New Year! But I'd love to be proven wrong!
  • Well that's three of us, maybe we should have our own party!:rotfl:

Great idea or even go for a castle or something big enough for loads of bods!:rotfl:
  • We may be small, but my nearest town Fishguard was once voted by The Guardian as having the best New Year's Eve party in Britain!
Don't expect it to be on the scale of Edinburgh obviously, but it's great fun and a real family occasion - no trouble or hassle.
There are loads of holiday cottages around here too, wonderful beaches and a stunning coastline!
