horse insurance

Options
I am worried about the monopoly that ALLIANZ insurance has in underwriting nearly all the horse insurers out there. It has a history of underwriting E and L but it seems to now have taken over underwriting petplan as well as KBIS. My concern is that they are notoriously bad at paying out for vet claims and make life very difficult for customers. Is there not some law preventing unfair monopolies such as this? Soon horse owners will only be able to insure with one company (under the guise of many) and there will be no opportunity for choice.

Allianz do not underwrite the E&L Policy (Equine and Livestock).

Under the Petplan brand (Allianz actually own them) they have a very good reputation for paying claims and cover.

If you do not like Allianz (I must admit I do not like them under any other policy apart from the Pet Plan Policy) why don't you try NFU
