Help - Virgin Media POP server not working

I have not been able to access the Virgin Media Blueyonder POP server from any of my computers for the last week. They all went down on Staurday and have not worked since.
I phoned virgin media who insist there is nothing wrong with their system yet I have no connectivity. They got me to log on to webmail which worked so the tech support guy said that was proof their system was ok. No amount of argueing woud convince them otherwise.
I know for a fact my devices are set up correctly and my connection to the internet is good as I can access my other email servers. How can I get virgin media to sort this out?

Does not sound like a problem with virgin - might be your firewalls or routers blocking ports? Made any changes recently?0

No, I havent touched anything. Basically I access my email from my laptop and my ipod and my HTC Mobile. Last saturday all three deveces stoped communicating with the popserver simultainously and have not worked since. I have connected all deveices via virgin media and using the data connection on my mobile - nothing works properly.
The only way I can connect to the pop server is to use my computer to make a connection and then when it fails if I try again very quickly it will connect ok.0
