It's complete load of !!!!, WH Smith seemingly everyhere, and Toys'r'us Coventry, were out of stock Sat AM.

Usual weasel excuses of unprecedented and unexpected demand, apparently.

As I suspected, you have to be early for any chance to get these. I was going out shopping anyway but it was early afternoon by the time I got out and the WHSmith I went to had run out of stock an hour before. Bloke said they only get one box of lego and he was expecting lots of grumpy people in trying to redeem their vouchers. I'm just going to save the vouchers up I think and send off for them, far easier. I wasn't grumpy, thought that would happen anyway.

I'm surprised these aren't more available? I wonder how many they have saved for those of us who are going to send off for them?

We only got one box of each in as well and each box only has 100 in it. We're lucky that we've still got some left from today so will probably have ones left all week. Our local High Street branch ran out at 11am as well but not many customers thought to nip down to our Travel branch as normally we dont stock promotional goods like this.

My nearest WHsmith was OOS by 10am.

Thankfully tou can save the tokens and send of for them so that is what we are going to do. So much less hassle.

Lego plus Star Wars is a pretty irresistible mix, so I anticipated these would go quickly.

I picked mine up from the WHS at our train station. I took two of the papers to the till, as I had offered to pick one up for my niece as well. THe SA looked at me surprised, so I explained one was or me, one for my sister. SHe said not to bother buying two papers, she would give me two lego sets anyway.:j I wonder what time they ran out......

Anyone know where I can get a copy of yesterday's paper from? (apart from trawling the bins down our road:rolleyes:)

I don't know about the Mirror but the Daily Record offer says you only need 5 different vouchers to claim the 6 toys by post so as long as you get all the other vouchers, you can get all the toys.

There's hardly much in it for WHS,Toys etc as with this miserable alloction, you will just end up with loads of angry punters. as it is Star Wars toys, they should have had dozens of boxes per large store for the demand, returning anything left (!)to a central mail order depot.

Yes you can send off, and you can get the exclusive tin, but 5.99 is a bit much for a tin, P & P and admin......
