AFAIK we collected these last year, but we collected all the tokens and sent off to the Mirror for delivery, cost about £4 in total but it would have cost more than this going to ELC on the bus everyday to collect. I got everyone I knew that bought the Mirror to collect them for me (assuming they were not using them themselves) and I ended up with 5 sets, so that was my 2 terrors stocking fillers and my nephews presents sorted out.

Yes I did the same - collected the token's and then sent off to the Mirror for delivery so hoping I can do the same this time.
I have a WHSmith fairly near me though so it shouldn't be too much of a prob but as other's have said I don't really fancy going every day!
  • Yes, we sent off for the set via the mail last year too. Our boys adore Lego, so they were a great stocking filler. They'll be even more thrilled with this offer though - cos it's Star Wars!!

    Thanks for posting OP! :D

Did this last year with the Daily Record, and the Lego City toys.

I saved the tokens (and my mum's tokens) and then sent away for the set(s) with a cheque for £6 or £7 p&p each. If you don't have a local stockist, the p&p works out far cheapper than travelling to somewhere that does have a stockist (but maybe no stock) in my experience.

I got them all well in time for Christmas, used them as stocking fillers, and I reckon they were the most popular toys on the day!

Does anyone know if you can collect the vouchers from the papers for 2 or 3 days, and then collect the models in one go (subject to stock)?

or, do you need to collect the models on each specific day?

    Thanks

Just got ours this morning, according to the paper you can collect vouchers and send off at the end with £5.99 P+P and get them all delivered
  • Thanks for that Lola, I was trying to find this out, but it doesn't say so on the website for either newspaper. That saves me petrol, as we're skint!

To get the 6 toys and collectors box by post you need to send 5 different vouchers and a cheque for £5.99 made payable to MGM Ltd. to an address the Mirror will print later in the week. Closing date for postal applications is 25/09/09.

I have done several of these offers in the past for the children, usually for books or dvds and my local branch of WH Smiths has always been brilliant. I am unable to get to the branch every day but if there were any items left over from previous days they were always happy to let me have them. In fact they said that any left over at the end of the week were supposed to be destroyed. Hope you are as lucky with your branch.
