eBay customer support just awful!

Greetings!
Sometime ago, I posted about the situation that eventually got my eBay account suspended.
As part of the appeal, eBay requested a photocopy of my ID which I faxed to them. They say they never received the fax so last week I sent them a photocopy using airmail registered post.
I checked on the royal mail website this morning and the letter was successfully delivered on the 31st August but I've just had an email from eBay support saying that they have not received it yet!
I've emailed them back with the tracking number but I'm really concerned that a photocopy of my passport and driving license are now missing!
On top of that, eBay support is terrible. Their messages are automated and half the time they don't even make sense. They never answer questions directly and it feels as though I've been going round in circles!
Any point in seeking legal advice?

Have you tried live help from the US website? Perhaps having an online conversation with a representative might get you somewhere...http://pages.ebay.com/help/basics/n-livehelp.html0

Having a live chat gets you no where. Last timew I tried the woman I chatted to was very friendly etc but all she did was give me the customer support email address.
It's really scary to think that anyone could have my photocopied ID now!0 -
Think there is an option to call. Surely there is a phone number somewhere0

Email is not the be all and end all in communication. Phone them its far easier to actually explain to a human being.0

there is an option online somewhere to upload it this is what I had to doWins so far this year: Mum to be bath set, follow me Domino Dog, Vital baby feeding set, Spiderman goody bag, free pack of Kiplings cakes, £15 love to shop voucher, HTC Desire, Olive oil cooking spray, Original Source Strawberry Shower Gel, Garnier skin care hamper, Marc Jacobs fragrance.0
