i couldnt when i went from ft to pt due to health reasons. I have recently left my role and now work se earning a lot less but i can do it from home so its worth it. Have you checked entitled to etc?
Do you not have mortgage protection etc that will kick in? or such like? I know my father claimed on his when he had his stroke, but obv all policies are different etc0 -
Also, if your condition has worsened can you not get DLA to re assess your claim? if not already on highest banding0

tax credits pay out a disability premium if you work 16 hours i think.0

You might get Working Tax Credit, but I'm not sure of the criteria. It would be worth putting some hypothetical figures into the entitled to website and see what comes out.
Housing Benefit?
Council Tax Benefit?Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
tax credits pay out a disability premium if you work 16 hours i think.it no longer exists/ being fazed out.
Since when? It's always been 16 hrs for people with disabilities (if they qualify)
From the HMRC web site.........
if you have a disability and usually work 16 hours or more a week, you may be able to get extra tax credits. Who's entitled to the extra money?
To qualify, you have to meet all of these conditions:- you must usually work for 16 hours or more a week
- you must have a disability that makes it hard for you to get a job
- you must be receiving, or have recently received, a qualifying sickness or disability-related benefit
If you - and/or your partner - get the Highest Rate Care Component of Disability Living Allowance or the Higher Rate of Attendance Allowance, you may qualify for an extra amount of tax credit because of your severe disability.0 -

I inquired earlier this year when i needed to make changes, i was working and putting in claims for dla etc, and i was told no, i would have to go onto esa, and when i did i would have to come off wtc...
I got the dla and now also on esa, wtc stopped and i stopped work in the end as i couldnt work, but whilst i was working i was told noLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0 -
You may get working tax credits. I do! I got it once I had to cut my work hours. If you get DLA a certain amount of your earnings are disregarded. I'm afraid it wont make up for the difference in salary drop I very much doubt.0
