Hotels and Tesco vouchers

I understand that hotel breaks are limited to weekend breaks with B&B. Can anyone say if the break can be topped up with cash to give B&B with Dinner?

Tesco are B & B only prices, ring the hotel after booking and book dinner.

I would phone the hotel chain and ask, as I think it depends on each chain. I just phoned up earlier about booking a family room mid-week and I can pay with vouchers, where in Tesco T&C it states weekends only and twin/double room for 2 adults. Worth phoning to check.

Has anyone used their reward vouchers for a Hastings Hotel? They've got about 3 different rates on their website so it's tricky working out how much it's actually going to cost!

Anyone had any good breaks using their vouchers? Thinking of a winter weekend break in Jan in Scotland or north of England.

We stopped at Marshall Meadows up in Berwick Upon Tweed last September, about as far north of England as you can get (the Scottish border is literally 5 minutes away). Part of the Classic Lodges group.

Really pretty town, though to be honest apart from a couple of small military museums not really much to see in the town itself apart from a few shops - worth a wander though, it's a really pretty town with lots of history. Also, Berwick is a good base to see attractions in the area such as Alnwick Castle (they also accept the Tesco vouchers) and only a 40min train journey to Edinburgh. Think it cost about £200 in Tesco rewards at the time.

The room we had was immaculately clean, though if you want anything more than the basic tv channels you're going to be disappointed (no satellite/digital/cable tv). Bed was very comfortable though and room was immaculately clean, the usual complimentary bathroom and tea/coffee stuff in the room too, and small bottles of Scottish Spring water! Our room was on the first floor and overlooked the conservatory and out across the front lawn so had a good view, though I've heard that if you stop on the other side of the hotel you can get noises and smells from the kitchen (whether this is true or not, I don't know!).

The restaurant is not bad for an evening meal (they do a good steak). The bar area is cosy but there is also a nice big lounge to sit and read. Breakfast was ok, but nothing special.

Finally, found the staff very friendly and helpful, especially the head receptionist.

Also, if you fancy a walk in the morning after breakfast, the hotel is about 10 minutes away from the coastline, some spectacular views if the weather is clear (I did take a few on my phone but they really don't do it justice).
