According to the attached http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/phones/home-phone-calls you can get your line rental for £9.50 per month with Primus Home Saver. Caller display only appears to be 56p per month.
I am tied in to a calls/broadband deal for another six months with another provider but can I transfer my rental from BT to Primas?
It would appear I cannot but the article says it allows use of override providers.
'QUICK FACTS. Price: £9.50/month Free Calls: Evening & weekend Length of free calls: 90 mins Connection: None Contract: 12 months Allows use of override providers? Yes (no plans to change this & in Aug 09 gave MSE written guarantee it won't for at least 12 months).'

Primus (currently) allows the use of override providers (the likes of 1899, 18185 and 18866) but NOT the use of CPS (Carrier PreSelect) providers. Only BT allows the latter.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0

i was tied into bt but managed to get m calls transfered bacj to primus who later took ove rm line rental too, prior to that i was still paying bt for line rental. i assume since they transferred my calls back to bt when they conned me into 18mth new broadband cntract along with 18mths bt vision contract (which i have never been able to recieve any channels on) they also tied my phone in..but there was no comeback or problems with my line rental also moving to primus.0

Beware indeed- I agree totally! The manager who was dealing with our complaint left the company at the same time Primus was 'restructured'. They are notable for a complete lack of customer service. I say more of what has happened to us in my thread posted asking for advice/help with our complaint with Primus.
If I could I would like Martin to check their tariff for Saver 2 as they changed our Saver 1 tariff last year without telling us and because their billing averaged 2 months behind, it took a while to figure out. I would never recomend them now.0
