I have to pay a cheque into my sons HBOS account for 2k. Can I pay this in at a LloydsTSB branch or do I have to go to HBOS.
Just trying to save time as there is a LloydsTSB not far from me but the HBOS branch is in the main town.

HBOS & LTSB are two seperate banks owned by the by Lloyds Banking Group, therefore at the present time I would assume that you can only pay the cheque into HBOS.0

True, this is the way it is at the moment. Hello trouble - hows it going matey?
I'd be swapping to Lloyds then you can use Post Office counter service as a bank: http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/jump2;jsessionid=LPRYTZJ25QIROFB2IGDUQEQUHRAYSQ2K?catId=94800755&mediaId=19400181
or in detail here: http://www.postoffice.co.uk/portal/po/jump2;jsessionid=QZ10DR0GLM4KGFB2IGDUQEQUHRAYSQ2K?catId=19400181&mediaId=19700174
I guess you can withdraw from HBOS at PO but not pay-in (assuming there was a PO near you, but it doesn't really matter now anyway mate lol).... just ignore me, its late - or early haha

You can always post it to them if it's difficult to get to a branch.never-in-doubt wrote: »I'd be swapping to Lloyds then you can use Post Office counter service as a bank
Do Post Offices still exist then? ... it's ages since I've seen one that's not boarded up. :rolleyes:0 -
