empty envelope arrived - ebay item missing

If you plan to sell more items get a pad of 'pop' notes and fill them all in before you go to the PO. Don't feel guilty holding up the queue, your keeping the PO going.
I agree call the buyers bluff. I had buyers say a large plate was smashed to pieces on arrival, so I sympathetically emailed and asked for a photo. I knew they were lying as we double box etc when packing. I never heard from them again.
You could always ask them to return the empty envelope via a trackable service (papypal advise) saying it can then be inspected. Bet they don't want to.0 -
It amazes me that people get a trolley load of shopping at Tesco and don't feel bad about holding up the queue or only get a few items so they don't take up the cashiers time too much. Yet in a post office who is providing a product your buying there seems to be this feeling that your not allowed to give them too much business and that you spending money in the post office keeping it open is some kind of inconvenience?!
OMG i so agree with you - my post office is quite good as I generally take a few things in at a time throughout the day to limit the 'hold up'
However, this July I took a break from the business to spend time with my son - upon starting up again in August and visiting the post office, the postmistress turned round and said " oh no, we're not starting this lark up again, are we"?
By the way - they were nearly closed down last year and I spend hundreds in there every year!0 -
Was at the PO last week to post 'ONE' item and asked for a proof of posting (usually get the till receipt and they scribble the postcode on) and the usually ok cashier said "sorry we can't do that any more, you need to fill it in yourself, they're over there" (pointing to the other side of the PO). "Ok, i'll just go and get one" (I guess not what she was expecting - now this IS going to hold the queue up) and have to run over to the other side of the PO. Then I notice the person next to me getting a proof of posting no problem!?!? Jeez...0

What were the proof of postage forms doing on the others side?

Royal Mail do have a lot of fishy staff though and I'm always weary of online deliveries especially from sites like Play.com as they label their name on the parcels they send out.0 -
