Wilsons Selling Up. The Lot. All 700 Houses.

No need for that nonsense ISTL, keep it on topic.
I could talk about the Wilsons all night. How come, if the MSEers think prices are going to go up, how come the Wilsons are trying, again, to bail out of their 'empire'.
Surely, hold on and ride out the promised wave of rises over the next few years then..
Sorry had to stop was laughing so much.
er.. then sell up having realised even more of a fortune.
They know its busted. Their bank knows its busted. Time to cut and run, except they can't. Because apart from the hope of a Russian (lol) coming to the rescue who else wants 700 houses in Kent?0 -

They were still buying houses until May 2008. :rotfl:
Sorry to quote myself, but thought I'd best back that up with a source.
Express now has the story, with some extra bits and pieces of detail, including about potential buyers, according to Fergus.

I'm surprised you have such venomous comments for colleagues and ex-colleagues (teachers).
We all have our own strengths and Maths teachers are obviously good withfigures and equations, while you obviously have your strengths in other areas (as you are not a Maths teacher I presume)
Otherwise, most of your post is about vanity which of course could be described as one of the seven deadly sins
Hello ISTL.
Was wondering where you'd gone and hoped I'd not lost my favourite bull.
The bit about maths teachers was but gentle ribbing, which I think any of them would admit to. Very good at maths, maths teachers. Undoubtedly.
Possibly even the Wilsons?
But doubt Business Studies was a subject they were very familiar with. Or Ethics.0 -

Hi Carol,
Always nice to catch up with old friends (even internet ones)
Been busy and to be honest this forum is just not worth visiting so much.
Every topic decends into a tit for tat and it's hard to find the needle of topic worth discussing in the haystack.
I don't necessarily disagree with the Wilsons lack of business sence in a way. They certainly put all their eggs in one basket (area).
Getting back to Maths, it was my favourite subject. I often think if I had not developed my career as I had done, I would have quite liked to have been a Maths teacher.
Maybe a reason or not to increase your likeness for me
Have a good day, enjoy the weather if it is nice. Won't be long till the cold long nights come and were all looking forward to spring again (weatherwise, not any analogy for the economy over the winter period)
Going to take Master ISTL down to the park for some fresh air and fun.
Hope you have an equally good day with your kids.:wall:
What we've got here is....... failure to communicate.
Some men you just can't reach.

Nice. I took the Generalissimos to their Auntie's house for a barbie and a game of soccer.
It's Fathers Day tomorrow and Mrs Generali asked me where we should go. I said somewhere whether the girls have got long legs and wear skimpy clothes so we're going to the netball*....

This is exactly how I'm feeling. It's tiresome wading through pages of arguments (from the usual suspects) in order to locate the few nuggets of information. Sometimes I feel like an Old Western prospector, standing in a river panning for gold, except it's not gravel I'm trying to separate the nuggets from, it's a load of old s---.
Even more dissappointing is when these 'usual suspects' drag you into their arguments, it make you feel as bad as they are. It's getting so bad that when you try to be helpful and give pension advice to one of the 'suspects', you get jumped upon and embroilled in an argument because you're 'prying into their personal life'. For goodness sakes."I can hear you whisperin', children, so I know you're down there. I can feel myself gettin' awful mad. I'm out of patience, children. OMG I know exactly what you mean - lolz. It's a constant muddle of people and all sorts of complicated stuff. The other day someone was talking about yields and I didn't even know what he meant or nuffing like that anyway. :eek:Harry_Powell wrote: »It's tiresome wading through pages of arguments (from the usual suspects)
So I just flamed him. It's what you have to do Henry, get 'em back and keep watching them.0 -

Case in point.
