If she is not on benefit and tells the CSA that it is for the arrears, then posibly, but check before you hand over a penny.0

Personally I wouldn't even enertain the idea if i'm totally honest, can you be 110% sure that she will call the CSA and tell them that you have given her money directly and for this amount to be reduced from the arrears. You may end up paying twice be very careful.Hi, my Husband owes some arrears as the CSA didn't asses him properly. and the child is now done school etc so wea re just paying off the arrears

Oh I would be asking for written confirmation from CSA that the account is CLOSED!!
I don't want to see my step son evicted because his mom is a looser.0 -
As you're helping the PWC keep a roof over the child's head, then why shouldn't it be classed as child support?
Personally, & with the WRITTEN confirmation & signed receipt stating that this payment is child support paid to "PWC's name" for "Child's name" from the PWC, I would inform the CSA, again in writing that this is indeed a payment towards the child support arrears & don't even mention the money being paid towards rent arrears.
If you do mention rent arrears to the CSA then this will turn into a very grey area & in all probability they won't accept this payment towards arrears & you'll end up paying again.
This will only work if the child support arrears are due to the PWC & not the Secretary of StateDonedoingdebt Lightbulb moment January 2000. Debt at highest approx £102,000. Debt now (October 2009 - absolutely fork all!!!):beer:
CSA case closed on 02/09/10 :beer::beer:0 -
NO NO NO !!!!!!! :eek:
The idiots up at CSA " central " have no concept of such things.
Do not even consider this idea, if you do you will pay the price.... eventually.0 -
If you are paying arrears, why not just pay the money you were going to give to the PWC via the CSA and then you will know it is definately coming off the arrears??????0

Is she in arrears as she is owed csa payments by your husband? She too must be struggling to manage.0

nono weve always paid just CSA fudged up the assesement and after we were DONE paying maintence they said we owed a further 3k we have paid 2k in one lump she got this 5 weeks ago and decided to buy a new bed, handbags and other things... not pa the rent.
I have spoken to the CSA it takes over 5 days for them to give her the money and in 3 days shes being evicted. but the ball is in her court to call the CSA. and either tell them we are paying her or we wont pay

I don't understand why, as you paid the last payment 5 weeks ago, you haven't already paid this last instalment of her money if you have the money available.0

I am all for helping the pwc where possible but, you gave this woman £2k 5 weeks ago....she chose not to pay her rent therefore must face the consequences. Some people you cannot help. Have you got room to house the child if they are evicted?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0
