Problems with cooker hood bought on ebay

Hello

We bought a cooker hood on ebay from a buyer with excellent feedback and reviews, who seemed to be well established. He also has a seperate website from ebay.

The cooker hood was brand new and we purchased it in February. Soon after the lights in it stopped working and they sent us a transformer to fix the problem. The seller was helpful and resolved the problem quickly.

Now however, we have returned from holiday to find the front 'glass' panel has fallen off. We contacted the seller who told us to stick it back on with silicon glue. However, i'm not too sure whether we should do this? When you hold the panel in place the touch controls do not work - so I am worried that we will stick it on and they will not work.

Also should we undertake this repair ourselves? I know its just a case of applying glue - but really we are disappointed with the quality of the product. We have only had it for six months.

The seller does not seem to be very helpful on this occasion and does not seem to want to help further.

Advice appreciated - thank you

I think that Feb is too long ago to expect a refund. Although I am sure the seller has a legal obligation to repair or replace. Couldn't you get a quote from a proffesional and ask the seller to pay for the repair?
