Leather suite with dogs????

I am looking to replace my living room suite and was thinking of getting a leather one. I have two dogs, one of which likes the comfort of the sofa and was wondering just how tough leather is, is she likely to tear it??? is it more or less tough than a fabric suite?????

sorry, but as much as I love my dogs, they are not allowed on my leather suite. rules in rules i'm afraid....

To answer your question, yes leather is far tougher than fabric and so much easier to wipe down and clean but dog claws will tear leather or fabric - you'll just have to start laying down some ground rules

Don't even think about it if your dogs can't be trusted to stay off. They will ruin it & you'll be very sad...

Mmmmm looks like I will have to show her who's boss, she struggles to get up there nowdays anyway as her legs arent good, just every now and then she sneaks up!!!!

I've got a leather suite and seeing as i can't stop Rio going on it when i'm out i don't bother stopping him when i'm in.
I got it in about October and all 5 seats were worn and 2 torn by January so i called DFS out. The bloke confirmed they hadn't been scratched as they didn't look like scratch marks. Since they were replaced i just keep cushions on the seats to be safe.
