Ok.. Not sure if this is a totally crazy idea or whether it may just be possible. Any suggestions/ ideas would be extremely appreciated!
Recently split with ex... he is buying me out of the property...I will walk away with about 7.5K. I have another 2.5K saved.
Two kids, working 20hrs wkly (wage approx. £475 p.m) tax credits £760 p.m and child benefit £112. (total monthly income approx. £1350)
Currently living with dad in very cramped conditions, so need to resolve this issue
Private rental in area are approx. £600 p.m
Mortgage obviously less than that!
Daddy has an additional 10k towards deposit and possibly joint mortgage? He is carer for my nan and gets carers allowance/ income support. He was told by his bank he could use this income towards getting a mortgage.
Looking at a 2 bed property at 90K, with 20K deposit, mortgage of 70K... ???
apart from circumstances above i have also only been in my current job for 1 month... which i know is a major problem
Does anyone know about self cert mortgages? would this be an option?
Any ideas greatly appreciated!
Helen

Hi Helen
Yes its doable. But rather than taking advice on here, due to the complexity of your situation I really would recommend you seek the advice of an experienced whole of market mortgage broker who can keep you sane though this.I am a Mortgage Adviser
