Hello
As the title says my car battery is dead. I am looking to buy a battery charger that will bring it back to life again.
I've seen a solar powered charger that plugs into the cigarette lighter for £12.50 on ebay. Would anybody recommed using these or is it best to buy one that uses crocodile clips? Do these charge the battery from flat?
Thanks, i've asked my neighbour and they can't help me

If the battery is dead you probably need a new one, check first. You could be wasting money on a chargerThis is an open forum, anyone can post and I just did !0

Also go to a local garage and ask them to do a battery/alternator test to determine why the battery is flat - majority will do it w/o a charge (ahem)0

The battery was replaced last year, it just needs charging as i've not driven it for a while! In debt no more!0

The solar charging is only any use for keeping it topped up. To charge from empty you need to use a mains charger or get the car started and drive for a few hours then drive it regularly. It does car batteries harm to be discharged so get it sorted out ASAP and try not to let it go flat again if poss (perhaps with a solar charger).0
