Husband have a charge on the wifes property?

Hi All,
Does anyone know if a husband can have a charge on a wifes property?
Say if a husband gave his wife a £50000 loan to purchase a property (and the mortgage totally with the wife). If the wife then choses to sell it and the husband wants to ensure that he retains the money she owed him is this possible. I believe its possible for a third person to do this, just not sure whether husband/wife can do this.
Thanks

Why would you want to loan each other money?? Is it some kind of temporary marriage?Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Can't see any legal reason why it can't be done.RICHARD WEBSTER
As a retired conveyancing solicitor I believe the information given in the post to be useful assuming any properties concerned are in England/Wales but I accept no liability for it.0 -
I suppose a husband can have a charge on a wife's property.
Why are you doing this? If it is to save tax, remember that a married couple only get one principal private residence between them.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
