Hello,
Why should I pay £7 more for a WD My Book 1TB rather than get a WD Elements 1TB HDD?
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Elements-External-Drive/dp/B001GO9ERE/ref=pd_ts_ce_3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Western-Digital-Essential-External-Drive/dp/B000W9RNOA/ref=pd_ts_ce_30?ie=UTF8&s=electronics
Other than I currently have a My Book so they'd look nice together
, all suggestions welcome!

The My Book turns on and off with your computer. The Elements does not.
The My Book also looks nicer.

Exactly what I was after. Thanks!0 -
Purchased, £74.02 from Amazon. Not bad at all given my 250 GB cost a similar amount a couple of years ago.0

I'd go for the elements one. The mybook is too thick and I suspect has 2 x 500mb drives. If I'm correct there is a larger failure rate on a 2 drive system compared to a one drive system.
Also it is cheaper:money:
Just seen for £89 a 1.5T http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/471987/verbatim-1-5tb-external-desktop-hdd/0 -

Sharkie - neither of those are 2 hard drives stuck together, that would be far thicker!0

If it were a suitably shiny black it might.

kiwibreaks hasn't heard of a black MacBook then, which has a shiny screen, but matte body.0
