New Student and Very confused!

Hi i have just come bk from the college and passed my interview/assessment etc.. i really didnt think i would get in!! anyway, i confused as to what help i get.. Im living with my partner and hes wrking full time. i have a son at school who will need to go into breakfast/ after school club on some days and a baby who will need childcare.. we dont get any benefits and i will be paying out 4 train travel.. could anyone help me and let me know what i am entitled to please? thanku x x

Your college may be able to help you with funding for childcare and travel but, as this varies from area to are, you'll have to ask them.
You might be eligible for £30 per week ALG but this will depend on your partner's income - as it's too high for tax credits it may also be too high for ALG. This also depends on the level of course you'll be studying and your previous qualifications.
You need to make an appointment with the Student Services at your college to find out what's available locally.0 -

The funding available is likely to be linked to your income like ONW said.
If your income was under £20k last year and you're not working, you could qualify for free childcare if you are on a (loosely) work-related course.0
