HELP! My Laptop Won't Connect to the Internet

I'm having real problems getting my laptop to connect to the internet. It did connect to the internet earlier, but now I keep getting an error message stating

"The connection port is invalid or busy"

with the code

24-02-05-055

and I can't connect at all now.

I'm on AOL.

I hope someone can help.

Check for other applications which may be using the modem, e.g. Fax. Look for their icons in the system tray (the row of icons next to the clock) and exit or disable any which might be using the modem. Restarting the computer will also help.
