Ryobi garden shredder - any good?

Asked on the I wanna board about a garden shredder, and ReluctantSpender pointed me to this Ryobi from Screwfix. Which seems like a bargain.
The only thing holding me back is that I have never heard of Ryobi, although a search of this board gives me a thread about Routers which DIDN'T say that they were pants, so that was reassuring.
Are Ryobi generally good VFM? Any opinions?

I've just spent a fair bit on a Ryobi table saw after recommendations from others.
Very happy with it and would have no problem buying Ryobi, they are a well known make.
(Well........maybe not to you, lol.

that's not the bit of kit that nearly took your hand off when you went out into the sunshine is it? :rotfl: (I know it's not funny, hope your hand recovers soon!)aliasojo wrote:I've just spent a fair bit on a Ryobi table saw after recommendations from others.

You're right, I'm not very into power tools, Bosch, B&D, Qualcast and Flymo for the garden, that's about my limit (and I think of Bosch as doing washing machines not shredders!)Signature removed for peace of mind0 -

Thank you for setting my mind at rest aliasojo, I ordered the Ryobi on Wednesday, it arrived on Thursday, and I put it together today - which was a bit of a challenge but there really was only one way to do it, even though that way didn't correspond with the instructions which didn't correspond with the diagrams!
And then in 20 minutes I filled a bag with shreddings! It wasn't even too noisy. And as I said on the I wanna board, I am almost grateful to the thieving toerags who nicked our previous model, because this one is vastly superior!
I hope your hand continues to recover ...Signature removed for peace of mind0
