Am I the only one that get's fed up scrolling a whole screen down to read the useful stuff in this forum?
9 stickies in this thread is a bit of a joke isn't it?
The stickies that are in question are quite relevant to be there and have either been put there by Martin, Abuse controller or other relevant cause's that have requested to be kept near the top of the page.
If you find this a problem I suggest that you contact the Abuse controller/ Martin.0 -
Bah! I thought this was going to be a thread about the Ann Summers Sale ;D0

Bah! I thought this was going to be a thread about the Ann Summers Sale ;DThe main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing:)0

I agree, get rid of the stickies. I'm sure most visitors (like myself) scan past the stickies to get to the up to date posts, so they'd probably get more views if they were left with the main body of posts.0

Yep, that's another vote for get rid of the stickies.
Just something to have to scroll past everytime.0 -
If a topic is popluar and relevent it will be kept near the top by posts - it doesn't really need to be made sticky.Alex Jones0

One of the stickies is the £2 UNICEF donation which was placed at the top because people requested it to be. Topics like this might not necessarily get many replies/views if they were just kept 'loose' on the board and much less money would be raised for good causes. :-/
You can't please everyone, but the stickies are there for a reason and I personally think they should stay.0 -
Well, I too think that there are too many stickies on many of the threads.
They also invite newbies to post responses which are not actually relevant to the thread.
I've already pointed out to the abuse controllers that many sticky threads should be locked immediately on being written - as they aren't intended to invite a response.0
