Ham cooked in cola is a definate favourite in our house or why not try cola cake - another Nigella recipe (basically it is chocolate cake with cola in it)
Or mix cola and tomato sauce half and half for a great BBQ sauce
Try http://www.thecoca-colacompany.com/heritage/recipes.html
Or failing that it is good for:- Cleaning Loos
- Getting blood, grease and creosote off clothes
- cleaning burnt pans
- For Baby colic leave out a glass of warm cola during the day and give it a stir now and then during the day so most of the bubbles are out before the colic usually hits, put it in the baby's bottle and allow him/her to drink and burp as normal and the colic is gone. {both of mine had 3 month colic and it worked a charm} - miles better than infacol and a lot cheaper and there is never a chemist open when you need one but there is always an off licence.
- Use it to clean tyres
- Grout cleaner
- Remove oil from the drive
- descale your kettle - put a 2l bottle of cola in your kettle and leave for a day, rinse out and voila a really clean kettle
- cleans corrosion on battery terminals
- loosens rusty screws and bolts
- clears ice off of windscreens also cleans bugs bodies and traffic film off {rinse well after though}
- spray on to grass once a month for a super green lawn
- cheaper than using beer to get rid of slugs

If you can get hold of a free second hand soda stream, there is no need for coke ever to go flat.“The ideas of debtor and creditor as to what constitutes a good time never coincide.”

Just found another use - it kills mice! if you put a bowl of cola down and they drink it they bloat out and die because they can't burp or vomit

I left 3 bottle of coke (1 diet) in the car over the weekend and they froze (well the full fat ones did - not sure about the diet one)... has anyone got any other suggestions? I don't eat pork so that's out...Man plans and God laughs...Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.0

You can cook chicken pieces in it, apparently. I have been served some which was tasty, but never made it myself.Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

Is this a regular OS thing then, laundering your money?
What else? Polishing your pound coins and ironing your fivers?
I'm a worse slattern than I thought then!

There is a recipe for a sort-of sweet and sour chicken that uses a can of diet coke (so 330ml) with i think 6 tablespoons of ketchup... Not the classiest dish, but tasty and handy in a squeeze! Goes well with rice, and I cant see the coke being flat as being a problem!
Things like onion, sweetcorn etc go well in it too xOn the up
