Lloyds TSB Credit Checks

I opened the acc in july offered a silver or classic but o/d or cheque book.
I have paid in about a good 500 a month but its my own spending acc. I have since upgraded my acc with rbs (Credit search) and take out two credit cards and a jacamo acc so I have alot of searches now.
But I have run my acc carely keeping it in credit so I rang and asked fort a gold acc they said I wasnt eligible and then I said I was offered silver in july and she said I wasn't showing as eligible for that either. I think it must be because my score has been hurt be alot of applications as I can't think why else as I am paying everything on time and my cc balances in full putting about £200 on each one a month.
Also since I opened the acc in july it has not shown on any credit file.
RBS have given me a checque book and offering me gold acc, but I have 2 odd years good banking history with and i am told me internal score is good.0 -
I think they are a law unto themselves!0

It would be worth checking all 3 credit reference agency reports (experian, equifax and call credit) since LTSB share data with alll three off them. Also the different reports will show varied data to get a bigger picture of your credibility. Sometimes I do get the feeling LTSB do use the denial of credit to dump privacy guard on you!0

Strange....cos my experian credit report says my credit score is "excellent"
The experian credit scoring isn't very realistic if you got a score from say call credit your score would be much lower ( around the 600 mark) I feel its unfair that experian (who I used to work for) dish out 999 or excellent scores to a lot of people in the current finacial climate, its unrealistic and gives people false hope for getting credit.0 -

They use this as a blanket score as well, so if they cannot determine a "true" score they will use 999 which as you say, is utter rubbish (but lets not confuse the fact all their scores are meaningless due to each lender having their own unique criteria that Experian does not know about)....
Take the CRA scores with a pinch of salt and whatever you do, don't waste your money buying them!
ps - you're brave admitting you worked for those shysters!
pps - ever met Lee Hancock when you worked there?2010 - year of the troll

I went into my Lloyds branch and they advised my credit score was 2a. I understand 1a was excellent. However I was advised the A relating to a loan risk indicator.0

I have no idea what my internal rating is with Lloyds TSB. I've never had an added value account but was offered a Premier account over the phone. I advised I would think about it.
When I called back I was told I was not eligible for a Premier account but was eligible for a Platinum. I told them I wanted the Premier or none at all and they signed me up to the Premier.
I have a £1900 overdraft which I use every month! Their actions just don't make sense!
I've checked my credit report with all three CRA's and all of them don't show I have a £1900 overdraft. Do they report this information? I've had the overdraft for nearly a year.0 -
Guys,
the Lloyds internal credit scoring system is not random. The reason some of you are getting declined is because your accounts are flagged. There are various flags I believe a common one is CPD, which can be removed if you run your account with a positive affordability ratio (i.e. you have more money coming in than going out).0
