Comparing previous mortgage performance

My bank are starting to offer an Offset mortgage that's fixed a 2.45% above base rate for the life of the mortgage.
I'm fairly interested as I want *some* stability, but the fixed rate deals are for relatively short periods, and with ridiculous arrangement fees.
What I'd like to do is to see how a mortgage of this type would have performed over the last X years, i.e. I'd like a tool that would allow me to see what my payments would have been if I'd signed up for this sort of deal at sometime in the past.
I know the recent past has been "odd" and there are no guarantees, but I just want to get a feel for things.
Does anyone know of a tool that would let you do this against actual historical base-rate figures?
