  • lucky thing!! it's great over there

definitely go to freemantle, great food and lovely area,

if the japanese restaurant near the theatre (in the centre of town) is still there i'd recommend a bento box, absolutely lovely!

the casino isn't really all that, melbournes is far superior

how long are you there for? if you have time go south to margerat river, it's the wine region, really is worth the drive, about 3-4 hours, and stay down there for a couple of nights, you can tour the vinyards and do tastings :)

also go to subiaco, one of the AFL stadiums is there but they have a lovely shopping street, really quirky, and the vegetarian cafe (if still there on the right as you walk up the hill) does the best falafel's ever!

    have a great time!!!!
    Nonny mouse and Proud!!

  • I'd do the river cruise down to freemantle and back by train, the trains are very good. king's park is a lovely place for a walk and BBQ, go up the DNA tower for a great view. the zoo is also a good day out.
We went to Swan valley to do wine tasting only 30 mins from city and out that way is mossman park a place to see all the ozzie wildlife like koala's and kangaroo and 'holly' the wombat! Houghton's winery is a great place for lunch, was getting a refurb last nov. when we were there so had lunch at Jane Brooks which was lovely.
There are lots of nice beaches too including Scarboro and Trigg
