Laptop not working - Help!

Hi
Last night I was working on my laptop when the low battery sign started flashing. I plugged in the charger, but my laptop didn't start to charge. My laptop can no longer be turned on now due to the battery being flat. It was working fine the day before and charging up no problems.
I changed the fuse on the charger, but its still not working. I'm not sure now if its the battery or the actual charger that is broken. I've looked at getting a new charger but they seem to be quite expensive, plus I don't want to have to buy one it its the battery thats damaged.
Any ideas?
Many thanks

Does the mains adaptor have an LED on it to indicate it's working correctly?
What happens when you connect the mains adaptor and remove the battery, will the laptop turn on?0 -
Most laptops will boot up without a battery attached and just with the power supply. But this depends on make.
As above from the reply. Check you power supply has a green light or orange. Whatever the make.
If power is coming through the power supply, look at your laptop light for charging and see if this is lit.
The power supply will be the culprit.Motto: 'If you don't ask, you don't get!!'

No the mains adaptor does not have any light/LED, so i'm not sure if there is power going to it.
I've also tried removing the battery and plugging in the adaptor, and again nothing.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Thanks for the advice. I've never tried to boot my laptop without the battery plugged in so I don't know if thats the case. The make is Fujitsu if that sheds anymore light onto things!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
