Good idea - so I searched ebay for 'chilli plant' - innocent enough - but it came back with Red Peter P***s Pepper chilli plants  are they for real??

Remember, next year, they are very easy to grow. I grew about ten plants for my son this year - he uses a lot:rotfl:and every week he takes the ripest and freezes them.

The largest one is in a large pot. So this is something I learned this year as well as the fact that I can keep a plant indoors over winter.

My sister got one from Kew Gardens last weekend. Not cheap, but it was laden with chillies and as she's got a sunny windowsill she thought it might keep going till next year, but the best thing really is to sow your own seeds as just a very few plants can often produce enough chillies for you to dry some (or you can whizz them up to make those chilli flakes) and freeze some fresh ones at both the red & green stage. I like to do a bit of each as then I get 3 different ingredients for when they crop up in recipes.

Remember....if you have to put it on a credit card, extend your overdraft or take out a loan to buy whatever it is, you probably can't afford it, as that's not your money, it's somebody else's!
