Hi
Need to get hold of different quality images for a new business venture and have found these sites.
Anyone use them and what do you think? Seem to be reasonably priced - dreamtime is a bit cheaper but US.. does that make a difference?
Will be using up to about 100 images - possibly more in the next couple of months. A
Thanks in advance for any replies/experiences!

If you use the Flickr advanced search you can search only for images that may be used commercially (option is down the bottom when you choose creative commons license)

My other advice would be do a bit of google image searching just to check the images you pick are not used absolutely everywhere on the web which can be somewhat embarrassing. There's also a site called TinEye that can check this to some extent but it's not that great yet.0 -
sxc.hu is free and royalty free.
stockxpert.com is paid for and the "sister" site of sxc
istockphoto i find a bit pricey
and dreamstime i've used in the past and had no problems...

make sure you understand the license that goes with the images. Some licenses can be quite restrictive in what you can do with the images.Beer meter E[.\.......]F0

Wikimedia Commons - the photo repository behind Wikipedia - has a huge number of images, nearly all of which are available for royalty-free commercial re-use. Some come without any conditions of use, others just need attribution which you can achieve by quoting the photographer's name in the image properties.0 -
thanks bikered - will have a quick look.0
