  • I'm afraid I cheat and have a modern tent!
It's a bonus nite as no girls are camping - just the set up team. :j
Approx 5000 girls arriving for the day on Saturday.

    No! Tremendous fun!

The form those idiots from JSA have sent me about my mortgage protection policy is horrendous. 3 pages long and will require at least 2 phone calls for the information plus I have to photocopy all the documents.
(Bookie thinks. Her local MP is coming to our do on Saturday and I know him well - bit of a complaint coming up).

Today is a very positive day. While surfing yesterday I stumbled upon the "Random acts of Kindness and senseless beauty" concept. I'd seen it before, long ago, but like the lightbulb moments with debt, this time it really struck a chord. I won't post any links, as they are easy to find if you search for them on Google.

Could it really be possible that kindness can build on itself as much as violence? This seems a concept which could prompt so much debate. Violence can easily evidence itself as propogating more violence (someone hits someone, likelihood is that they get hit back or worse still their mates join in. Then there are tribal, and world wars... Kindness on the other hand, how could you evidence that your act of kindness really did encourage someone else to do something for someone else.

Well, if we all try it, then it could just become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I just loved the term "Geurrilla Goodness!"

Sorry for the randomly positive post ... not like me at all lately!

:j:j:jLike Pay It Forward - its a BRILLIANT movie. Everyone should commit a random act of kindness every day! and then they should pay it forward.

Morning all today is the last day of my holiday I am so sad but not sad. got lots to do so no time for saddness.

    see you all later xxxxxxx

I remember going to somewhere in Matlock for a camp with the Girls church Brigade. For some reason we had to roll up the sides of the tents every day which resulted in our beds being covered in daddy long legs every night:eek:

Oh yeah I remember rolling up the tents at Guide camp.. why did we do that?

Morning all.. busy busy busy here

It's to dry off the sod cloths and air the tent.

  • My god what a start to the morning.. woke up in a rush as I thought I'd heard the radio say it was 8 and not quarter to as it actually was.. then after I made breakfast I accidentally left the grill on, and only realised as I was leaving the house that the place was full of smoke . I then drove all the way to work, was slightly late as it was and then realised I'd forgotten my swipe card and couldn't get in! So had to drive all the way home again to get it and ended up starting half an hour late. Thankfully I was able to just put a note up saying that the session would be starting at 930 instead of 9...

I'm seriously having a retard day!! lol

Hope everyone's having more luck that me today lol!

On the plus side my dad has given me another £100 towards my car fund :D woohoo!!
