Today is a very positive day. While surfing yesterday I stumbled upon the "Random acts of Kindness and senseless beauty" concept. I'd seen it before, long ago, but like the lightbulb moments with debt, this time it really struck a chord. I won't post any links, as they are easy to find if you search for them on Google.

Could it really be possible that kindness can build on itself as much as violence? This seems a concept which could prompt so much debate. Violence can easily evidence itself as propogating more violence (someone hits someone, likelihood is that they get hit back or worse still their mates join in. Then there are tribal, and world wars... Kindness on the other hand, how could you evidence that your act of kindness really did encourage someone else to do something for someone else.

Well, if we all try it, then it could just become a self-fulfilling prophecy.

I just loved the term "Geurrilla Goodness!"

Sorry for the randomly positive post ... not like me at all lately!
Like all revolutions, guerrilla goodness begins slowly, with a single act. Let it be yours.

Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty.
  • Good morning Lou and Tenmah.
First day back is always hard - good luck with that Tenmah.
Have a great day off Lou. Any plans?

Today I have an early start (for the unemployed anyway) :o
Having my hair cut at 10 - made it last 8 weeks this time but it is driving me mad now.
Bit of banking and shopping to do.
Then I must iron, find my tent etc and get ready to live the dream in a field. :j

Sounds like 'do unto others as ye would have them do unto you' and I'll go along with that.
Kindness does spread kindness in the same way that a smile causes more smiles. :D

Hey Gunjack - hope you're well!

Hope everybody else is good too - I am sunny today even though its raining - pretty tired but have hatched a plan to be rid of my flatmates - just need to convince friend to move down to London to live with me...

    I bet you have:D

I remember going to somewhere in Matlock for a camp with the Girls church Brigade. For some reason we had to roll up the sides of the tents every day which resulted in our beds being covered in daddy long legs every night:eek:
