Paris in March

Centurion, I am a "cheap as chips" traveller and stay at the youth hostels (no upper age limit these days). Check out https://www.hihostels.com. I have stayed at Paris Le d'Artagnan, normally a three bedded room. Each time I have stayed there we have had the room to ourselves we paid 21 euro each.
Paris Clichy has 2,3,and four bedded rooms at 19euro.
I am sure there is university accommodation but I am yet to find it.
I have in the past stayed in some dire 2* hotels and prefer to stay in the hostels.
For those who poo-hoo the idea, you only have to give it a go once .You will either accept it for what it is or never consider it again. You can book on the internet as easy as wink. What with cheap tickets, low cost accommodation I have had some wonderful weekends in Barcelona (£50 return flights and 2 nights accommodation) Rome/Florence iseven nights accommodation and return flights £105. A continental breakfast is normally included - canteen style, but who cares!
Now,Mos I do not know of any better offers for Paris at the moment. I think National Express is about £38 and it takes an age, although the bus depot is only a short walk away from the Paris Le d'Artagnan hostel takes about 15 minutes on metro to get to the centre. Normally price is £59 return on Eurostar. Can you not take a pal.
Maybe there somebody out there that wants to share a ticket with you as this is really a cracking offer..0 -
Paris 'Ooh La La!'
I forgot to say the promotion code is for tickets at £29 return.
Magnifique
I also and going to to Paris mid march (better halfs 40th)
with the discount code is this really just £29 per person for a return tickets?
I have seen £29.50 per person one way, making it £59 for a return trip.smile --- it makes people wonder what you are up to....

You need to find fares that are £14.50 each way. The total will then be £29 return. I didn't find any of the promo fares on Fridays to Mondays, hence we're going Tuesday to Thursday.0 -

Thanks for the tip. I've booked a hotel in the Opera area, and at 75 Euros a night i'm worried that it will be total crap. The websites make it out to be alright, and it seems to be cheap because it's not far from Gare du Nord. But I can't find a punter's review, which may or may not be a good sign.
I'd rather spend a bit more on a chain hotel then be stuck in a dump. The Paris Hilton is only £120 a night, and though obviously a lot more than £106 for 2 nights in the cheap place, I might splash out.0 -
we went to paris in november and cant rate the hilton high enough
they even gave us a free upgrade to an effiel tower view.0 -
Wooo,
guys started talking about expensive stuffs now, 120 per night! not quite like a 'moneysaving' style. Not for me at least.
I stayed in hostels all the time. cheap, meet a lot of people from everywhere around the world.Val

The hotel i've got booked at the moment is the Hôtel Kyriad Paris la Fayette. It's in the Opera area, and is part of the Kyriad chain, which by the look of its website and pictures, seems to be alright.
It's unlikely I know, but does anyone here have any experience of this hotel?
This trip has to be as cheap as possible unfortunatly, so I think i'll stick to what i've booked, unless I hear it's totally terrible.0 -
If you are discounting the idea of the hostel,I am sure the hotel you have selected is okay. You could check out the Ryan Air "hotels" on the https://www.ryanair.com site.
I agree the hostels are great fun and you do meet people from all over the world.0 -

I probably will stick to the hotel i've booked. Might consider a hostel next time.0 -
