I was going to book 2 flights with ryanair yesterday, but I was grumping about being charged £10 each way for paying by my debit card - so I had a look on here and noticed that you can get a visa electron from Thomas Cook - So decided to wait until today...Great went down to Thomas Cook charged the card with £50 they take £3.00 commission (so £53.00) cards ready to go straight away..Flights now 1p instead of the 9.99 they were yesterday so 2 return flights to Altenburgh for 4p also booked 4 return flights to Paris in december -not sure if I can get the time off work but am willing to risk the 8p I paid for the flights....:j

Yep that's Guiness, and it's only 80 x more than your paid for the flight per pint!

  • Ryanair will no doubt use this as proof of the sale's popularity ... system is VERY slow and VERY buggy right now. I'm getting repeated error messages at every stage of the booking process, have yet to make a successful booking.

If your booking process is at all disrupted during a booking READ THIS NOTICE FROM RYANAIR. Check you haven't made a successful booking before making a second attempt, and don't assume that no confirmation email = no booking, they are also sometimes held up.

    Ryanair.com System Slow - 2nd September 2009

Due to large booking volumes our flight booking system is currently operating slower than normal, please note that it may take up to 30-60 seconds to move from page to page during the flight booking process. Despite the booking process being slower than normal, bookings can be completed, however the delivery of your email travel itinerary may be delayed.
We recommend that all customers making new bookings write down their flight confirmation number and flight details as soon as the flight confirmation page is displayed on their PC screen. Please also see the below information on how to retrieve your booking online.
Online Check-In - If you are travelling TODAY and are having difficulties checking in online and printing your boarding passes please open up a new internet window and repeat the process. If you continue to experience difficulties and are travelling TODAY go to the ticket desk on arrival at the airport to receive a boarding card.
    Retrieving/Viewing Your Booking Reference
Go to the Manage My Booking section of our website and use Option 3 to View Booking. To do this just enter the flight date, route and email address used to make the booking. Click below to access the Manage My Booking section of our website.

Checking the Status of Your Booking - Confirmed or Declined

As we are experiencing some delays with our payment authorisation system, if the flight confirmation number displayed on your PC has the words NOT CONFIRMED written underneath, you should wait several minutes, then go to the Manage My Booking section of our website and use Option 3 to View Booking. To do this just enter the flight date, route and email address used to make the booking. Click below to access the Manage My Booking section of our website.
    https://www.bookryanair.com/SkySales/FRManageBooking.aspx?culture=EN-GB
    http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/faqs.php?sect=pnr&quest=notconfirmed
From here you will see if the booking status is either:
NOT CONFIRMED-This means we are still awaiting approval for the payment from the bank you should review the booking again later to see if the flight is confirmed.
CONFIRMED-This means that the payment has been approved and an email travel itinerary will now be sent to the email address provided in the booking at the time of reservation.
IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO RETRIEVE YOUR BOOKING AND AN ERROR MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED - This means that the payment was not approved by the bank and the flights in the reservation have been cancelled.

Working ok for me, although slow.

Dublin, Oslo and Krakow all for about 20p :)

    Cheers
  • Picked up speed again: 20 flights for 20p... that's my weekly commute sorted for the rest of the year :D
  • GREAT DEALS!!!!

I used to love booking with Ryanair, but Mr O'leary pulled out of Blackpool, and everywhere else in the North West if I am to believe the news, so no Ryanair for me, I will pay £9.99 and go with Jet2 and after trekking to Manchester airport because I did not wish to pay the £10 aviation fee at Blackpool Airport, all is forgiven, I would gladly now pay £20 to fly from home!!!!!
    xx
