Insurance and surveys.

Hi everyone,
Quick question: When buying buildings and contents insurance do the insurers usually ask for evidence of the lender's valuation document / survey?
I have two surveys and they both say differing things - one more favourable (so to speak). That survey was given to me by a previous buyer and it is not addressed to me.
Any ideas?
Cheers

They have not asked us for evidence but have asked for the figure for the rebuild cost as per our surveyors report. We gave them the highest figure just to cover ourself from the 2 surveys. In terms of Insurance the premium should not be any different unless a huge gap between figures and you jump into a different band for the insurerer.
Hope this helps!?0
