British Gas Click Energy 6

Options
I'm on British Gas Click Energy 6 for Electricity and Ebico for Gas.

When I look on Moneysupermarket for electricity, there are only more expensive offerings (negative savings). Is British Gas Click Energy 6 really better than all current offerings?

    Yes, that is possible.

The combination of cheap gas from Ebico and average electricity from Click 6 and low discounts means that you may well be fine with your current combination.

Most top-of-the-table tariffs are tightly tied to national average consumptions for dual fuel users. British Gas Click 11(?) (aka WebSaver 4) is more expensive than Click 6.* And other tariffs may have higher Tier 1 costs and a dual fuel discount that you would not qualify for.

Unfortunately, as (I presume) a modest user your 'best' option is more difficult to predict as your actual best bet will vary almost chaotically depending on how much you end up consuming.

  • As a British Gas Click Engergy 6 Dual fuel customer, I
Compare it with EDF Online Tariff Version 5. I found this to be cheaper and have just changed using a cashback site which earned me £60.00

I noticed this too when I compared on Energyline. However I was unsure whether there were any cancellation charges with EDF- have always been with BG and I am hesitant to switch.

Tarriffs are changing so fast, it is very diffifult to keep on top of which is the best plan to be on

Customers can leave Energy Online v5 at any time with no early termination fees applying - Info from energylinx
(energylinx. co. uk/ energy_online_v5. html) - take out the spaces.

I beleive if you apply and cancel you don't get charged anything but are prevented from reapplying for the same tariff. Tariff is limited so could be pulled at any time.
