just an update really, the buyer from my other thread who demanded immediate payment, i sent their item via 1st class instead of 2nd class today, the buyer who wants sent to another address hasnt replied, if they havent by mid day tomorrow its going to the paypal address and the other buyer who wanted posted on Sat 1st class. Replied and was very polite, said thank you for emailed him back so quick and basically hes away from fri till sun most weekends and doesnt have anywhere for parcel to be left so could i send fri or sat 2nd class so arrives next week. Which is fine, weve agreed it will be sent friday when im next due to go to post office. So thats all good so far :)
  • Good communication is vital to success on eBay. Yes, you could say that buyers rule eBay. But then sellers would be nowhere without buyers and this is true not only for eBay.
Being polite, understanding and flexible always pays off in my experience. At the end of the day there’s nothing more satisfying than another happy buyer. To be successful on eBay it is best to move with the tide, not against it. For example, I offer free P&P by 1st class RM, even when not required by eBay, if the item can be sent as large letter and is worth £39 or less.
By far most buyers are nice and considerate people. You are bound to get a ‘difficult’ buyer occasionally. Regard this as a positive challenge and an opportunity to learn more rather than a nuisance or an obstacle.
