advised i may not be entitled to full support

I have applied late for student finance due to getting through the back door to University. I have had previous assistance and have been advised that it is more than likely i will not get full assistance this time round for a one year top up course. My circumstances are completley different to when i was last supported.Mainly this time round i will be independant assessment where previous it went on my parents income. Does anyone know how badly i might be affected and also are there any other routes./ avenues i go through to get nesscary funding. I will be 27 when i return to University in the next couple of weeks.

  • You should be able to get the Maintenace Loan but not the Fee Loan, although I'm unsure of the Maintenace Grant situation.

In your position, many people pay the fees with the Maintenace Loan and support themselves through employment for the year.
