What happens next?

I reported a buyer for using another account whilst suspended last night. I've had an email for ebay which says that will usually take 24 hours to look into this, but that I will not be told the outcome.

The only information that was the same on both accounts was a mobile phone number. Is this enough to get them suspended again? If so, what will happen to my sales? Will I be able to offer a second chance to the first person who lost out?

If she doesn't get suspended how do I get around not dealing with her? Should I just wait until the 7 days are up and put a npb in?

It's frustrating cos the longer it goes on the more chance that the other bidders have won other items and won't want mine and I'll have to relist.

If they look into it properly and see the suspended account has the same phone number as the current up and running account, then they should get NARU again.

If you don't want to sell to this person because of trouble with them, just offer a second chance anyway. I'd offer it right now if I knew I didn't want to deal with the winning bidder.

Thanks Ribbon. What's NARU? Also, is there a chance that she could have changed her phone number in the live account? I don't want to chance a neg if I offer the second chance. If she's changed her details and is still live, then I should sell to her, shouldn't I?

When did the auction finish? Why hasn't she paid upto now?

It's a very long story. Wanted me to deliver to her for cash (which was the same story I'd had for another buyer a month ago who ended up being suspended). Rang alarm bells so I didn't want to sell to her. Turned out I was right.

If she's changed her number then presumably they won't be able to ban her as nothing will be the same except her christian name. She originally registered at her mum's address.

Well it doesn't look like she is going to pay if she has asked you to personally deliver it, so I'd offer the 2nd chance now.

Why should you miss out on money from someone else?

If they don't NARU her because of the phone number, when the 7 days is up and you start the NPB process, she will get a strike so hopefully a couple more of those and she will be NARU anyway!

Thanks Ribbon. This whole business of being able to sign up for another account really gets to me. Also, dishonesty stinks!

I've just checked her contact details and her number is still the same - so here's hoping she gets a NARU!
