Did you know that you can now book your deals online for Tesco?

Your CC vouchers now have a 12 digit alphanumeric code on them allowing you to redeem online rather than posting off.

If, like me you have the old type voucher which don't have the 12-digit code to use online, then do what I did...

Send off for the clubcard deals with one of your old vouchers, and they add the "change" to your clubcard points which will be converted to the new type of voucher with your next statement.

Remember that they do have an expiry date one them, but I sent off two £34 vouchers for £5-£10 of deals, and got the change added to my account after a couple of weeks - and they obviously get a new expiry date :D

First you build up your clubcard account mainly by spending in Tesco stores and Petrol Garages (but there are other ways too) which give you 1 point per £1 spent.

There are the occassional deals when some products attract extra points - look out for the yellow signs instore. These points are then totalled up each quarter, and if you have a minimum of 150 points, then these are issued with Tesco Clubcard vouchers... 150 would be worth £1.50.

Instead of spending your Tesco vouchers instore, for their face value, you can exchange them for Clubcard Deals - that way they are worth 4x their face value.

You can exchange them for vouchers to various theme parks, or money off at MFI, plus a load of other options.

Right...I've counted out my pennies, all 1799 of them.

Now how do I obtain this telly?

Send in your CC couchers and ask them to add them back onto your account. They will do this as many times as you like. Say you want to save them all for a year. (4 mailings). Ave cust gets £30, saved 4 times = £120 x 4 for deals =
£480 in say Cosmos holiday vouchers or Hogmanay in a Hilton in Edinburgh free!!!!!

This is the same as the "£7" Ipod Shuffle, or whatever it was a few weeks ago.

If you need a telly AND you are intending to use Clubcard points for a deal, then 1000 points are effectively worth upto £40. In my case, they're only worth £24 (or £38.40) as I exchange my points for BA Miles at 600 for £2.50 in Clubcard points. But, 600 BA Miles can often be worth a good bit more than £2.50 against a BA flight. Yes, I know BA are more expensive than budget airlines, but then Tesco are more expensive than Aldi and Netto as well, etc etc. Then again, 1000 BA Miles can be bought for £16 (plus handling fee), so £2.50 in Clubcard is effectively worth £9.60 in BA Miles... So 1000 points are effectively worth £39.60 (£40)....have I lost everyone over the age of 13 yet???

Example: Return flight LHR to YVR is 50000 BA Miles. Divide by 600 and multiply by £2.50 and that's only £208.33 in Clubcard Vouchers. For a return flight to Vancouver!!!

European return flights are about 12000 BA miles, so about £50 in Clubcard Vouchers.

I exclusively collect BA Miles where possible, to maximise the value of my points.

15000 of my BA Miles to date were earned by flying with BA when my employer was paying the bill, so they cost me £Nil. I also earn Clubcard points on all my fuel, which my employer pays for, so most of my points cost me £Nil.

I've never understood how Air Miles never actually equate to Miles in the Air!! Why don't they rename them Air Furlongs - would be much closer to the mark.
Anyway this is a great deal if you need a new portable telly AND you happen to be saving Clubcard points for a trip to Euro Disney next spring. Good post from OP - thanks. :D
