There's been three or four similar questions asked recently, and it doesn't appear to have brought forth many success stories.

Use the search option and see if you can find them.

    These companies are best avoided.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

since this summer, only a very small number of companies are registered with FSA to offer a sale and rent back service to folks who want a fast sale and who want to stay in their own homes.

check out the FSA site for SARB companies to make sure whoever offers you a rent-back (if that is what you want) are legally registered

You can check the FSA register here: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/firmSearchForm.do

You can check the list of interim-authorised SARB firms here: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/register/interimAuthorised.do

Fylde Lettings are not on either list (or at least I couldn't find them), so it is illegal for them to offer SARB, yet their website does still offer this.

Fast sale is one thing, though some have proved not to be as "fast" as their first impressions will lead you to believe.

Sale and rent back is a different ball game. You want to satisfy yourself that you will be comfortable with your new landlord. In particular how long a tenancy is guaranteed and at what rent.

  • Just to confirm i am looking just to sell not to rent back or anything.
Just considering it as have a massive service charge thats ever increasing and we want out before waste even more money on it

Its a grade 2 listed building and we own one of the flats inside - becoming a nightmare to try to sell as so quirky and we're throing money away on rising costs

thanks for the advice forthe FSA didnt think of that
